India Cries Where I Am! Poem by ginni aggarwal

India Cries Where I Am!

Behold! I am India.
India, a glorious nation
Land of saints, warrior kings.
But,
Today I am broken into pieces and fragments- because of You.
I am ravished of my past glory.
I am divided on caste.creed, religion
Language and what not?
Scattered and separated from kashmir to kanya kumari because of you
I am dying of slow strangulation only because of you.
My country men, my people
whom I loved, whom i reared are
turning me more and more into a gory figure.
I am bleeding and decaying today
I, yester years golden sparrow is
yearning for peace and prosperity
Today when i think of you my people
i become sad, and very sad
for; I am always yours
but you are never mine.
My people 'I do not want to be slave again.
I appeal to all of you for Revival
Will you allow me to be that India Again
Where love was worshipped
Humanity was religion
Will you allow me to be that India Again
Will you............?
