Indifference! Poem by Shawnee Gonzalez

Indifference!

Indifference,
They all see the same,
You fall into a trance that latches on to you,
Digging its claws against your skin,
Sinking its teeth into your body,
You feel the venom flow through your body,
Taking over,
Your body fighting an already lost war.

Indifference,
Nothing seems to change,
No one is ever there,
Under you,
Ready to catch your limp body.

Indifference,
Telling the truth is said to be the right thing to do,
But with truth comes hurt,
Truth of 9-11 hurt everyone through the U.S.A,
Thier hearts were torn out of thier living bodys,
Stepped on and punished.

Indifference,
If the truth is something that should be given,
Why is it so regretable,
Hardly ever is it possible to make it through the thorns of defeat.

Indiffernce!
Facing facts,
Losing faith,
Wishing god could just pluck you up
out of this messed up world and control the out come of all.

Cant feel the pain that makes me numb,
Finding the truth can show a different side of the closest of friends.
If you cant stand the outcome of truth why even speak,
Its use less.
Trying to walk through to the gate that hides our fate,
Is hardly reachable with out falling down a few times,
Is hardly reachable with out the heart breaks and the crushes,
Is hardly reachable with out the hope of getting far.
Is hardly reachable with out seeing the future through others eyes,
Is hardly reachable with out the lies.
