Some where in our fortieth to fiftieth year
Comes a sea-change
of attitudes and emotions

Of perceptions, of conceptions
Of beliefs …
and devotions

It’s a very individual thing
While common
to us all

As if a new chapter’s opened
in our life
Now holds us in thrall

A very different take on life
A very different View indeed
Quite different shade and tone

And if it hasn’t touched and changed you yet
Rest assured
It soon will make itself known
