Infatuation Poem by John Richey

Infatuation

When I look into your bright eyes,
Your radiance shines through.
Blinding me with your brilliance,
Surely, i'm unworthy to be near.

When I see you smile sweetly,
The urge to smile is overwhelming.
Feeling almost foolish when I do,
I swear it's nothing but perfection.

When I hear your cheerful laugh,
I can never forget the sound...
Desiring to be the cause of your joy,
I would be a fool not to try.

When I feel your warm embrace,
I have to focus to let you go.
It triggers a special feeling in my heart,
Now I crave it like nothing else does.

When I am near you,
When I'm within reach,
I desire to be by your side...
Warming my heart in your presence.
