Infinite Beat Poem by john mcleish

Infinite Beat

So apart we've grown noo
oor minds again, will never meet
these hearts lay forever, strewn aboot
separated, by infinite beat

It's so dark in this place
no a glimmer o a smile
as her light disappears, we' oot a trace
blackness stretching, fur mile efter mile

Goodbye noo a' my wee darlings
I've absconded and left ye behind
fur a new life, I've a been longing
yur abandonment, nothing less than a crime
