Ingredients - Poem by Ben Paynter

i've smoked, drank
been with and
without women
been back and
forth across the
dry country
dusted off
my shoes and
went to school
settled down
with a nice
girl, read
the news on
war and politics
stayed up all night
writing
everything I learned
but that
don't make me
a poet.
nothing
does.
