Iniquitous Gardens Poem by Seth Lloyd Norris Thomas

Iniquitous Gardens

Thoughts dance
as I ponder-waltz with You,
grasping at
Your liquid presence
uncontainable—

I hope You smell the roses
I planted just for You,

and not the rotting bodies buried beneath
in the graveyard You’re not supposed to know I have.
