Innocence Poem by panicker p.k.n.

Innocence

My grand-daughter
and her friend Sarah
the girl from the next house
both, not yet in their teens
puppy flesh on the cheeks
not yet waned, completely
chests, a little bulged
yet to round off
pubescence
just around the corner
each one
with a towel in hand
after a shower
straight from the bath
crackling laughter
and ringing words
‘Apoopa’
help us dry the hair
and wipe the water
off our bodies,
two small smiling statues
stand erect
the expression
on their faces
written large and clear.

(Apoopa means Grandfather)

The poem 'INNOCENCE' is simple and honest. Nice one. I like it. I have three grand-daughters.
