Insectoidus Poem by Nathanial Pagan

Insectoidus

Oh, these ants these insignificant ants
But are they? with strength far beyond their size
Their friends, those crickets, are music giants
But to some are pests like common house flies
Now, the flies, those nasty, buzzing pigsties,
Are eaten by an eight- limbed arthropod
When that pest is caught in some web, he dies
By the bite of the spider, feared like a god
If these creatures are causing you to fear
Then listen to this: they live in your bed,
They crawl as you sleep; they live in your ear,
They know what you think; they are in your head
But to despise them would be such a shame
For the fact is we are grotesquely the same
