Sea of darkness
Surrounded by light

Why are you not as bright?
What secrets do you hide?

Inside I know you’ve cried
Loneliness got the best of you

Grown darker as the clock ticks by
Thinking that no one will notice

In the darkness you will lay
Curl up inside

Nothing can harm you
No one will see you

Sing to yourself
Make your problems melt away

Burning bright light
Shield your eyes

Wait another night
