Insomniak Poem by Alexander Foald

Insomniak

In the shade of moonlight beam
Unwittingly fretted in the nature of dream
An invisible hand reaches in out of my window
Pulling me over the frame and drifts out into the night

A wide view of the town with lights sparkling like jewels
The tickling wind under my feet, the whistling breeze by my ears
I’m walking up the stream of aurora while watching the stars falling down
Feels like I’m going to heaven but still I don’t know how to get home

While the night is scrapped, the moon keeps distracting me
The shine that never sleeps, the shyness that always seems inviting
Like being hypnotized, my eyes keep watching while the dawn is breaking
Slowly, the beauty of night fades into the morning sky behind the clouds
Leaving me awake hopelessly, greeted by the warmest sun I've ever had
