Inspired By Tonight I Could Write The Saddest Lines

And All I know is everything that we ever were can never be
every night another dream is wasted on you but you never close your eyes for me
I bite my tongue and taste the iron, I close my eyes and inhale the pain
Erasing the love quotes from all my favorite poets and all my favorite songs
because they never tell you how hard it is to move on
You are like my favorite wound, I trace my hand across my heart,
as if it's you I'm feeling, as if it's you that's there
I wish I could let you fall away and pretend to never have cared
where was love for me? the supposed almighty savior of all, the healer of wounds long ago old?
And every word I said to you seems like they would better fit someone else
because you don't love me like I love you and your little love isn't enough
greedy to be needed so dammit need me
but you don't, go waste your words away to the wind
My heart will sink into black and vast oblivion like a star exploding and leaving no debris
but you will forget me as time will forget these lines
but when you die, I wish to be the last thing on your mind
