People take to the stage to sing their songs,
a one way conversation, drowned out by instrumentation.
INTERMISSION
The song itself is just an intermission, in lives conversation,
played with actions and words.
INTERMISSION
During their intermission, our voices take centre stage,
to announce their feelings, without being heckled by instrumentation.
INTERMISSION
Its where the real action takes place, the interface between hearts and minds.
INTERMISSION
Here the song of the soul is captured, as the tongue expresses the mind,
on the instrument of the heart, anything else is an illusion.

This Poem was written as a reaction to a music open mike (out of the bedroom)
which didn't allow poetry.I wrote it in Song format and includes audience participation,
I persuaded them to let me perform it, which they let me do on a few occasions.
