International Woman's Day Poem by kathleen wordley wordley

International Woman's Day

I want to tell you what it is like to be a woman
It's okay to be proud to be who you are
To show it by buying yourself a brand new car
You don't have to prove that you are strong
Or if you are powerful
All a woman wants from life is unity and inclusion
And not be devoted
No matter if you are a woman
You should be treated like everyone else
No one understands how to be different
To be a woman
I won't be going down without a fight
Women
Follow that guiding light
That is shining in your eyes
You don't have to prove how nice you are
But to prove how courageous you are
Show the world that you matter
Don't show that you are easily misunderstood
Women
You rule the world
Fight for what you believe in
Don't throw it all your hard work in the bin
You're a fighter
You are smart
Take the world in your hand
You don't have to pretend
Because you are a woman
