The lines I write and what you read
Are not always the same
For what I mean is mine to know
My thoughts are mine to name
Interpretation plays its part
Within the wider sphere
And what you read into my lines
My thoughts may not adhere
You only hear the tale I tell
As it relates to you
You may not see within my words
What I and others do
But your thoughts only add to mine
With an alternate view
And give the picture that I paint
A wider, deeper hue
To not be easily understood
Is every poet's curse
But viewing through another's eyes
Enhances yet my verse
