Into The Arms Of The Goddess Poem by Edward Durand

Into The Arms Of The Goddess

Rating: 5.0

The tears of angels fall to earth
To wash the sins of mortal birth
And nourish a tree to give sacred fruit
That eating will give the divine truth
For consciousness is the one return
Through all the lessons we must learn
To close the cycle and return
Into the arms of the goddess.

The peace which passeth all understanding
Is in the flowers and the trees
And on the branch a bird is landing
Pleased to meet such plants as these
Until the universe ends its out-breath
And inhales back to unity
And the bird leaves the branch for its nest
Into the lungs of the goddess.
