Into The Essence Of The Tao Poem by Meng Lim Dr

Into The Essence Of The Tao

This poignant poem is by Professor Yvonne Timoianu, a close friend, a world-renowned Romanian cellist who lives in Austria. She is deeply influenced by Taoism and seeks to convey the essence of Taoism here, intertwined with music, nature and man within the cosmos:

*For when the sky feels low, …..

_Be water, not the storm_ - Tao says:
don't fight the heaviness. Flow around it.
A river needs no permission to reach the sea.
Just one small turn, one soft breath, one step.
One heart-beat.
A glimpse of EON
Of Eternity.

_Stand like a pine, rooted deep_ - Shaolin whispers:
even wind that shakes the leaves cannot move the trunk.
The roots are born down below,   in the Earth,   but are  still made of Heaven.

Your strength isn't in forcing joy today.
It's in staying. In breathing. In not falling.
In becoming the Threshold between  Earth and Heaven.

_Let the thought pass like a cloud_ - Zen smiles:
blue sky is always there above.
You are not the cloud. You are the sky it crosses.
Wait. Watch. It will drift.
Hold all the suns and galaxies in your breath.
Look around - can you see?
It is your garden,   a giant Galaxy.

_And hear this_
 - Bach builds a house of order when chaos roars.
Schubert leaves a window open for tears that heal.
Mozart reminds: even in D minor, light still dances.
So let a single note be enough. Hum it. Feel it.
Let it open like a blossom in your heart.

One breath. One note. One sunrise over the ocean.
Terra Australis knows this: after the longest night, the light returns anyway.
No need to chase it. Just stand where it can find you.
And the light is there already.
YOU ARE THE LIGHT.
