The first of many flaws, is the flaw of disobedience
For to say that I digress from, is a lack of obedience
True that not all digressions are ill-hearted;
But in the notion of Godliness, it is ill-hearted
The canons of olden times are still with us
Some are still as firm as Mount Sinai; some are long gone without us
For those sayings are spoken by wise minds alike
And are acted upon by wise hands alike
In such reiterations we have witnessed
The greatness of obedience, indeed we have witnessed
For noncompliance is wonderful in the face of evil
Yet proportionate less in measure and conduct is the face evil
The Renaissance began with the act of disobedience
True it is was from the Ecclesiastes, this act of disobedience
But in the true intent of the heart did God allow it
For it was the herald of innovation, God allowed it
Yet prior to this we gaze
In an Era of obedience like never before, we gaze
When the Moors of Arabia soured
Indeed on the world of enlightenment and wonder, they soured
Innovations galore, inventions bountiful, wisdom uncontrolled
All done in novel eminence through the act of obedience uncontrolled
Free thought, free roam, free mind invigorated
Once again the dazzling light of Sinai invigorated
For such was the magnitude of this act exorbitant
That it conceived the Age of Enlightenment exorbitant
Contrary to this, the West was prosecuted
In ways of conduct and speech, prosecuted
Free thought, free roam, free mind appalled
Galileo, Copernicus, Descartes appalled
To dare an inquiry of cosmos was sinful
Alas the thought of existence was sinful
Such were the magnates of those times divergent
Indeed from the East of Middle-East, the West was, divergent
See with your eye, sense with your sense, oh reader!
These pros of obedience to the cons of disobedience, oh reader!
The beacon of Baghdad, the eloquence of Arabia, the philosophy of India
The intricacies of Alhambra, the miracle of the Quran, the genius of Ibn-e-Sina
All creations stem from the accomplishment of obedience
Such is the nature of creation, that it in itself is an incarnate obedience
