Invasion Poem by alyssa bradford

Invasion

I took a walk down a familiar path,
beneath the bright skies,
between the broken trees.
Last time you were here and that last time I was not alone
with my thoughts and questions.
I remember this all to well,
what was said, what you wore,
the sparks that flew back and forth,
caressing onto that last kiss.
Your voice that kept me going to a destination unknown.
All of tis so amazing in your brown eyes,
on this path I walk to a place we once shared together
in the past...
I stop and stare from a distance imaging us there together as one.
One dream too many...
I walk over to the once peaceful escape,
it has been invaded and changed
Just like the rest of us.
