Invisible Poem by Wyndon Johnson

Invisible

I want to be invisible,
I don't want to be seen,
This world is a nightmare,
when I sleep I don't have to dream,
I just want to be by myself,
I went and left,
I want to be invisible,
I just want to be by myself.

Why do we fight?
Why do we kill?
I want to be invisible,
I just don't have the feel,
I'll leave this world if I have to,
Oh, yes I will,
Between me and the world,
I don't have to make a deal.

I want to be invisible,
No, I don't want to be seen,
This world is a mess,
And Lord knows it needs to be clean,
I just want to be by myself,
Like I went and left,
I want to be invisible,
I just want to be by myself.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem, 'Invisible', because I watch the news and everybody around me. All the violence that's going on makes me want to be 'invisible'. The reason why is because I'm a good person and the world that we're in makes me want to be 'invisible'.
