Invisible Flaws Poem by Phil Lodge

Invisible Flaws

Quick to judge me for being different,
Laughing and pointing in my face,
"Do you have a reason to live? "
"Do you know where you stand? "
But nobody knows who I really am,
I don't have to be like you to fit in!
I don't have to look a certain way,
I want to be myself,
And see better days,
Never judge a book by its cover,
Based on what you see,
You see an invisible person,
Somebody with no voice,
The way I feel deep down,
Nobody knows that I'm hurting,
Beating me up from the inside & out
Trying to be strong and stay positive
And make it through everyday,
Knowing it won't be the same,
Never will I point fingers at people that did me wrong,
I will succeed and prove to everyone that they was wrong!
But nobody knows what it's like to have invisible flaws.
