Is Marriage An Answer To Love? Poem by Rodion Myshkin

Is Marriage An Answer To Love?

Let me not be a judge
For you to grudge,
Let me not play the fool
For you to rule,
Let me not be forced to pry
For you to lie, and cry,
Let love be unconditional
As we denounce the rational.

A Match made in Heaven,
Sparks a Fire on Earth,
Burns the Whole of Hell,
Ashes Remain, Ashes Remain.

Let me love once
To awake the dreamy dunce,
Let me love again
To give lust a reign,
And, let me love forever
Fates thread whomsoever,

But Should I marry them all
Like a Mughal King's duty call?
Why love another
As social bound?
Why feign emotion
In silent sound?
As time pass on
Let answers be found,
Without our love
The world ‘may' still go round.
