Is There A Place Of Darkness Poem by RaShawn Ince

Is There A Place Of Darkness

Is there a place of darkness,
Behind every door?
Where people feed on hate and greed,
And all hearts are sore.
Where nobody has any hope,
And all faith is dead.
Where little boys with little toys,
Are barely ever fed.
Is there a place of darkness,
Where girls have no respect?
Where no one cares or does their hair,
And all they see is neglect.
Where they have no one to count on,
And they are all alone.
Where flaming coals fill their souls
With fear and trust for no one.
Is there a place of darkness,
Behind each of us?
A different side that we do hide
In a world that’s so unjust.
Do we have control of this?
To protect the ones we love.
So they don’t know, what we know,
Can send them up above.
Is there a key to darkness,
That makes darkness fall?
That sets it free so we can see,
The light that’s in us all.
Is there a key to darkness
That makes the hate deceased?
That brings back hope to our souls.
A key of love and peace.
