Is There Such A Thing As Love? Poem by Sandra Black

Is There Such A Thing As Love?

Rating: 5.0

Is there such a thing as love?
Is there such a thing
That to one's heart
Pure joy bring?

Mere thoughts light up
One's countenance
In a moment
A tiny instance?

Can the heart flutter
For no visible reason at all?
Can it blush when one
Can see nothing at all?

Can it be that one
Is meant to be?
Can it be that one has
Set another free?

Can love be that
And so much more?
If only one would
Open the door

Would love fill one
On lonely dark nights?
Would it sing you
Sweet lullabies?

Would love crush you
In an invisible embrace
Would it be filled
With so much grace?

Would it make the ♥️sing
Like a bird on its wing?
Would it be the first 🍃of spring?
Would then we know it's true?

A bolt of ⚡
A spray from Pyrene
The end of the 🌈
Would they all show/?

If the answer to them all
Is a + Yes
Know then ye
You have found the one for ye
