I tried!
I tried not to fake,
I tried for your sake.
I tried to be better,
for you to throw me in the gutter.
I tried to stand by you,
just to be stumbled by you.
I tried to project,
for you to reject.
I tried to show your worth,
I tried because i feared the worst.
I tried to show the light,
you showed you were bright.
I tried to get you out of hell,
but all you did was inhale.
I tried to be wise,
you showed to be twice.
I tried to tell your wrong(for once) ,
but the buts never let me.
I tried to read this to you, to get it out,
just in time for my guts to fade out.

Did you know that i tried?

Maybe its just me, didnt understand what you meant,
was paranoia when i was meant to sing alleluia!
Was blind and i still dont see,
whats kept you away from me.
Maybe you were right for the long run,
the future is unknown.
And change it shall see,
from time now to time then,
a good time it'll be!
