It Almost Hurts Loving You Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

It Almost Hurts Loving You

It almost hurts loving you.
It's like gathering broken pieces in euphoria.
And feeling it cut
It's like running around a rose cottage.
And then feeling a thorn.
It almost hurts loving you.
It's like watching sparrowhawks dive.
And them keeping the sky in their eyes is key.
It almost hurts loving you.
It's like learning to fly, knowing any second
Someone might die.
It's like knowing rejection will impair your balance.
And you'll fall without ever landing.
You will fall, and it will be never-ending.
So yeah, it almost hurts loving you.
But what else can I do?
When our attraction isn't forced
And it's like it's divine.
At least for a short time.
