It Hurts To Know Poem by Clara Diskley

It Hurts To Know

Rating: 4.5

When you look at me, I know what you see
The way you look down upon me, I don't see any honesty
The tone in your voice is nothing more than weary
Causing me to be so alarmed of what you think of me
It seems right now that nothing ever is pursued
Life is like a battle for survival, but you might
never get a chance to live
Knowing that it's never going to change really shakes me
You took away all my pride, everything I ever believed
in and threw it away
You didn't care, it because you think you're better
When you speak I hear lies and the feeling never leaves
I see everything right threw your eyes
It's not a big surprise to see what you actually think of me
But I shouldn't care, but I'm still aware
Yet it always difficult to act pleased
It's just too hard to ignore, and theres nothing to adore
It's something about the way you smile when you insult me
You're eyes are smiling and your mouth is full of sins
Everytime you believe you win, yet battle still always begins
