It Is Enough Poem by Raymond Farrell

It Is Enough

Today, the sun
Lazily made
Its descent
In the West
Like a flaming, orange
Gigantic beach ball
It's warm and pleasant
After the stifling
Heat and humidity
Was broken
By yesterday's rain
A breeze gently
Rustles the leaves
Of the locust tree
I sit and admire
A bush of moove flowers
The birds in the bamboo
Are chirping softly
And as dusk
Turns to dark
My thoughts
Turn inward
I have food
And raiment
I have positively
Made my presence felt
Today
- It is enough.
