It Just Is (Spoken Word Poem) Poem by Fiona McCullough

It Just Is (Spoken Word Poem)

Rating: 5.0

Life isn't always so easy, this is what we're told almost everyday,
but we aren't told why or how, 'it just is' is what they always say.
So you move on and work through whatever life has to offer because there's nothing else you can do but sit, take it and smile.

You smile because you're forced to, it's no longer a natural ability, you smile out of habit not out of happiness, you smile out of need not out of want because those who love you need you to smile,
and if one person stops...it's like a row of dominoes, one goes down so the rest do too.
They fall because they look towards the fallen.

There will always be one person dependent on you, your smile and your happiness, so when you're told 'life isn't always so easy', you do whatever you can to make it easier for those who depend on you.
