It's All Cliché Poem by Nichole Kaci McKnight

It's All Cliché

Let's pay tribute to all cliches, I say.
A General said there'll be hell to pay.
Let's all jump on the bandwagon.
A well written word can slay a dragon.
They say the pen is mightier than the sword.
A well said cliche can be its own reward.
A great cliche can even be a silly remark.
Something's rotten in the state of Denmark.
We should know all roads lead to Rome.
There was a man I once knew named Jerome.
I pay a tribute to all cliches, my friends, for crying out loud.
Put your money where your mouth is, someone once vowed.
