It's Alright With Me Poem by Will Fiala

It's Alright With Me

Follow that murderous wanderer
Instead of the man who taught ya
Step in line and you’ll feel fine
It’s alright with me

Come together in oneness
Neon in the darkness
Point your finger my way friend
Well it’s alright with me

Where did I go when life came crashin’ down around
Didn’t expect your world to care or comprehend the sound
Adversary off your rung flung to the ground
And it’s alright with me

See that bum on the corner
You know he’s goin’ to hell, yeah
Convoluted mind my friend
Well it’s alright with me

Remember Cain and Abel
And who’s alive today? You know!
Hide your light ‘neath baskets friend
Oh it’s alright with me

Why did I go and take my heart’s compassions
Guess I just left because of wrong-winged Christian gyrations
No more walls or barbed-wire fence’s damnations
It’s alright with me

Too damned lazy to reason
Matthew for yourself
Deaf and blind won’t come to mind
Oh it’s alright with me

False messiahs at worship
Preachin’ what their taught to
Clinch that saintly stature friend
Oh it’s alright with me
