Time Will Tell Poem by Will Fiala

Time Will Tell

Time Will Tell

Spend all our time makin’ love
And wonderin’ if happiness is there
I tell myself to think of
The years ahead that we both could share
But anymore you just don’t seem to care

Call yourself a friend
But you don’t know what it’s all about
Say we’ll go it to the end
But I don’t see it ever workin’ out
Conveniences aren’t what it’s all about

And time will tell
Today will fade
Tomorrow’s hell
Stands towering in the shade

I’m leavin’ it up to you
Gonna have to live by your own heart
Tell me to my face that we’re through
Or whisper in my ear we’ll never part
Think we may be through before we start

Time will tell
Today will fade
Tomorrow’s hell
Stands towering in the shade

Time will tell
Today will fade
Tomorrow’s hell
Stands towering in the shade
