It's Always Been You. Poem by Douglas Goins

It's Always Been You.

Cradle Me.. Like a mother does her new born child.. Let my heart beat meet yours.. Like the sequenced ticking of a clock.. Allow your love to speard over me.. Engulfing me like a boat in the perfect storm.. Rub your hand down my cheek.. Taking away my nightmares as i rest in your arms.. Look into me.. Like you were digging for the answer to humanity inside of me.. Smile your exquisite smile.. The smile that shatters darkness.. Like the light came down from heaven itself.. Oh but kiss me.. Kiss me as if it was your last.. As if my lips were the missing puzzle piece to your own.. Kiss me as if that kiss.. That single kiss.. A kiss that watches over time.. Reversing it once our lips meet.. Speeds it up.. And even stops it completely.. Baby kiss me.. Kiss me as if my lips were your home sweet home.. And all you have to do is open the door to reach your happiness thats been waiting for you to return.. Cradle me.. And Never Let Go.
