It's Just A Pier Poem by dave rodriguez

It's Just A Pier

A few years ago I read a book, it was called 'Six Mornings On Sanibel', I thought, it was just book. The more I thought about the book and the pier; it stuck in my heart all through the year. I used to think I was tough, without fear. With my first steps on that pier, my eyes welled up with tears. I go onto fish and listen to the talk; I think for a minute, it's just like the book. When I'm down and depressed and I don't know what to do, I close my eyes, and just go to the pier.
