It's Just An Act Poem by Bre mylastname

It's Just An Act

She walks in the room
She fakes a smile
And pretends everything is all right
For awhile.

She lies in her room
Quietly sobbing
Her thoughts are mobbing her
“Why can’t I tell anyone what I’m feeling? ”

The door opens softly
Her mother enters
She wipes her eyes
Time to live another lie.

No one notices the girl’s quiet plea
“Please God! ” she prays
“Help me survive just one more day…”

She awakes, the empty feeling still inside
She goes to school, takes a deep breath
Puts on that smile.

Her act begins once again
Another day the same old act
But it’s to late her hearts already cracked.
