It's Spring,
and love affairs are everywhere.
In lower chambers,
the sultry worm
nuzzles an expectant earth.
The roots of the apple tree,
cozy up to the pepper tree,
for a warm embrace.
The ruby, breasted, humming bird,
seeks the honeysuckle,
for the sweet promise,
waiting in the golden blossoms.
The bee, endeavors to kiss
each rose he sees,
and carries his love on his sleeve.
The grasshopper,
forgets he is on crutches,
and jumps with eagerness
from leaf to leaf.
The ant tenderly caresses the aphid,
as the sun's arduous gaze,
brings the first blush
to the pomegranate's cheek.
The sea seduced by
the sensuous smile of the moon,
does joyful somersaults as
the moon passes.
It's Spring
and love affairs are everywhere.
