It’s That Time Again

Rating: 5.0

It’s that time of the month again, no that time of the month.
It’s time to pay all of your bills especially the rent.
You come up with excuses that might sound real enough for others to believe.
The more you think it through the more you start to believe it yourself even though you know it’s as far from the truth as the next.
It’s that time again where your sitting in your apartment alone in the dark dreading the thought of someone knocking at your door.
Even more scared if that person was collecting the rent you owe.
So he knocks on the door and you have no choice but to open it because he saw you come home and knows you’re there.
The infamous question comes gushing from between his lips and as you get ready to say the lie you so perfectly perfected you start to shake and stutter.
Making it hard for anyone to understand and believe what’s coming from your mouth.
He knew as well as you did that you were lying but he didn’t say much about it.
You give him the money you have which has a habit of coming up short every time.
But hey at least you have a job
