It's Time - Poem by Verbaas Mij

Pack up your things and move out of your mind.
Break all ties with knowledge and say your good-byes.
It's moving day and you're moving on to better things.
The next corruption of minds awaits arrival.
Greet the new victim with the handshake that comforts all.
Reel them in and spit them out.
The itinerary for today says all shops are closed and you have money to burn. Filth burning a hole in your pocket doesnt last.
The lonely hearts boutique just opened. splurge.
The shelf is assaulted with your hands pawing at it's contents.
Find happiness in the jar you now own. guess again.
The false identity tricks another fool.
Look to your left to find what you seek.
The all inclusive package with your name on it.
Drop everything you're doing and go to it.
Your first signal had to have been the glowing fireworks and black night backround.
Had to have been the flashing signs and neon lights.
The final bell sounds.
The stock market's closed.
Go home to yet another soul.
This one you've enslaved.
This one you own.
You only wish it wasn't your own.
