It's Time Poem by MILO WYATT

It's Time

Australia is a teenager
Ready, to leave home
It's time to let go of the apron strings
and face the world, on our own.
Goodbye Mother Britain, goodbye
With separation you always have pain
My, how the World will seem new
When next, we meet again.
So have faith in your child
Who now, sings a freedom song
Forever in our hearts and minds
Our memories, shall remain strong.
The rain has finally cleared
And the Sun, once again shines
This teenager boldly steps out
This teenager knows, it's time!
