It's Tough
It’s tough being a writer
when you’ve got no imagination
and you don’t want to share
the hideous truth
about your personal life
and you only got 2 hours
of sleep last night
and those included
nightmares about falling
and failing
and your cat’s fleas
jump up and bite your ankles
while you type.
But reading Bukowski
this morning
has made me strong
so here goes
nothing
