It’s What You Do To Me Poem by Alfred Ramos

It’s What You Do To Me

You leave me breathless
A vacuum sucks the life from me
I sit on the edge of dreamland
Not wanting to wake from fantasy

Your eyes they melt my heart
They squeeze it out of shape
The blood drains from my brain
You’ve imprisoned my soul, so there is no escape

I get dizzy from your aroma
You take me to places where angels flew
It’s what you do to me
What can I do to prove myself to you

Your voice, a sweet sound to my senses
Your whispers are a love song to my ears
Your smile smothers my pretenses
My heart is racing without changing gears

A world awakens like no other
Inertia scrambles like wildfire
I can’t explain this feeling deep inside
It’s a welcome mat letting in desire

It’s what you do to me
I’m like putty in your hand
For you to mold me
As part of your master plan

I don’t want to close my eyes
And miss one ounce of your breath
It comes as no surprise
Of me loving you to death
