It Was All A Dream Poem by Spyros Tzanetakos

It Was All A Dream

Rating: 5.0

It was all a dream, a spinning of a wheel
Beneath you a hillside and a valley green
You will rise again today from your ashes
To paint the sky blue and draw the rays
Around the sun

He was living all his life
Waiting for yesterday to come
Somewhere lost between the lines
Where reality takes a backseat to the memory
And time seeks revenge
He would try to whisper go away
But with a violent blast heard
Here we go again…

My constant observation of the pain
It leads away, in sorrowed, silent shame
Don't forget everything that is
One day will be gone
And after we live no one will ever know we were here
You blind the stars with your resonating light
To soothe the pain, remedy creates a veil to hide
The stolen notion's web and faint from the scent
Of hope, the descent of man resigns the son

We were dreamers
Had no reason to believe
We were questing needles in the hays
It was all a dream…
It was all a dream…
