It Was You The Second We Met Poem by Liam Lixam

It Was You The Second We Met

Now that i‘ve seen you, how could i possibly look away? ..
you‘re language i want to be beyond fluent in,
i find fragments of you in everything beautyfull,
you could slice me open
and only find your name
coursing through my veins,
im jealous of the pillow
that gets to hold your head every night,
im jealous of the blankets
that get to warm your body
every night,
i become poetry under your hands,
your touch is the only one that doesn‘t burn,
it was you the second we met
