It's Not So Bad To Be Scared. Poem by Maddie Taehyung

It's Not So Bad To Be Scared.

I wrote my pain straight on a wall and painted as long as I could, so my heart won't let me go alone.

Happiness was a future plan that I used to see right through, like a bird singing freely on a rock.

Watching as the feelings flew along with me, thinking maybe it's not that bad to be someone's poetry.

Deep down, frozen in a mischievous danger, I couldn't give all that was taken, my mouth was dirty, forgotten language.

Surprisingly, my mind could go numb in seconds, and my thoughts could stay shattered but I decided not to, because

I wanted
to
feel less

scared than before,

I wanted to be a star,

the most shiny one.

Realising things could erase my negativity and wash it away like a wave of numerous causes of ways to change this neglected paradise I was so far away from.

However, all I could do is survive and take my chances, I abandoned all that's left from my sadness at my front door, and let the happiness see me and come like a butterfly on my window.

It's not that bad to be scared, if you are not in increasing danger,

and your language will not be forgotten,

It's only your soul that hardly crumbles.

It's Not So Bad To Be Scared.
