Itself Poem by Amelia Hammond

Itself

The moon that shines throughout eternal night
In which that creature that you have become
Lies that has come will expose in the light
The night in which I have stand upon come

The shadows that learn to live beneath you
Will continue to hunt the light of day
The night in which no longer see the blue
The stars that shine have now put me to lay

The howls at the moon that become a blur
Which the light has known, yet has kept in silence
The blood that has been shed you had now sworn
Those that you have seen die of all this violence

The life you have created of yourself
Soon it will become into fear itself
