Jack Poem by Pete Rivera

Jack

Standing in the moonlight
I saw him planning away
All of the day
Jack got in his motorcade
Went to Texas where he met his doom

Presidents come and then they go
Get shot in the head
They shot him dead
Oh yeah
Bullets came around
From all around
Shot him in the head
They shot him dead
They shot him dead

A bullet hit him right there
He cupped his throat
And he ducked on down
Another one hit him again
Broke through his head
And now ole Jack is dead

Presidents come and then they go
Get shot in the head
They shot him dead
Oh yeah
Bullets came around
From all around
Shot him in the head
They shot him dead
They shot him dead

Who coulda done this?
CIA, Hoover or that LBJ
Who would kill Jack?
Maybe most didn't like him
As a matter of fact

Presidents come and then they go
Get shot in the head
They shot him dead
Oh yeah
Bullets came around
From all around
Shot him in the head
They shot him dead
They shot him dead

Jack wasn't that quick
But guess he didn't know
He would die that day
And I guess Bobby didn't know
That he'd get shot five years later

All the big people
Who preach about peace
They get killed
They get killed
Shot in the head
Bullets come around
From all around
Shot him dead
Shot him dead
