When you're down

The truth has hid its ugly head from us
And now I'm caught in a lie
Will I die?
A sense of immortality has showed up

The light that shrouds
My inner soul
Delves within me
And takes control
...

I notice but I turn
From the glimmer in your eye
And I'm afraid that I'll go blind
If I look

The walls seem so much closer
When you're far away from me
