Jack Frost Poem by Reason A. Poteet

Jack Frost

duotrain

Jack Frost appeared in spritely form
to all of us this week.
I thought maybe he'd come to vote
he made just one short peak.

Jumping back to where he came from
this morning he was not
to be found among our patrons
lined up at the polls' spot.

Just you wait, he'll be back often
as the year closes down.
By the middle of December
we'll think he's moved to town.

Jogging, he'll make all of his rounds,
give a leg up to snow,
then disappear as we dig out.
Where does that hobbit go?
