Jacob Poem by Jennifer Moe

Jacob

Rating: 4.0

Behind the dream
is a child within
dreaming for a chance
to come back home.
In the stillness of the night
There are no whispers
of I love you goodnights,
or any shooting stars.
Just pure sadness
and, anger echoing through
a constant reminder
That all children born
and, that are still missing
are innocent.
While the eviles of a man
holding a gun in hand
was so hell bent on asking
For age, stole America's Youth away!
What will it take for justice
to listen while in memory
blinked back my own tears just to
forget what fear felt like.
