Jail is the Lonely Place

Jail is the lonely place nearby
Too much like a modest home
One sibling ran away
Prison the only lonely bars
Between us silence shares
Cell mates' longing for whom
Messengers have no song
Firekeepers busy about
Food prepared by seed served
By the root's embrace the mortgage
On the jail -home no promise
Soul faith has a tree in mind
No mortgage - fate has no bail
There are no friendly faces
The warden is the master
Printed face of hell
Parole is far off wishes distant
Out beyond cosmic forms
Words slowly form the medley of
Unfamiliar themes
Distinctive links unraveling
The truth of innocence
Set out there in light in a star
My witness
Too far out beyond the bars.
